Animals have a slight loss of equilibrium and although they are aware no real attempt is made to avoid obstacles.
Handleable
In the initial phase animals have lost equilibrium but retain some swimming motion. On handling no struggling is apparent although animals will display some awareness if removed from the water. In the later phase animals have lost equilibrium, swimming motions have ceased.
Deep Anaesthesia
Gill ventilation is erratic or absent and there is an absence of the cough reflex.
